Bulmers/Magners is the only brand cider I can stomach drinking... Strongbow, Blackthorn etc are fucking awful, but I can enjoy a pint of magners with a glass full of ice.

Doesn't come close to Guinness though :D Harp's good too, but it isn't very popular outside the six counties I don't think.

So what do you do with the pint glass of ice? Do you pour the cider in it? Doesn't that just totally dilute it and take the bubbles away? Sounds strange to me. Can an Irish person who actually drinks the stuff englighten me? HH - where are you? Al is useless!

Ahhhh but I'm keeping this as an irish special pleasure (seeing that I'm married and other 'irish pleasures' will not be for me!). A bit like having a pastis - it has to be in the south of France. Just not the same at any old cafe!

    its loooovely

its equivalent of having a soft drink with ice....at the end it will be a bit diluted, but you just pour more in!

Lol, sorry for leaving ya stranded like that :D

Jaymac's done a pretty good job here though - yep, it's the BESTEST drink in hot weather... a real beergarden drink. So refreshing... mmm... that picture's not helping matters :o . One of the subbies wants me to fix his fax machine and he said he'll get me a pint... so I'm thinking it might have to be now :)
