    Well, I don't think it's only that...although maybe some unimaginative people use it as only that. ;)

    I use it to sort of organize my thoughts. I have one pinboard for cool little decorating ideas I want to try that use everyday objects in unique ways. I have another for bread recipes I want to try (I bake bread as a sort of hobby). One for low-fat recipes that don't look gross. I have another for places I'd like to travel some day. I have one for really cool art I've seen that displays a unique idea of some kind. Stuff like that.

    But then I have silly ones too - pictures of my favorite movie stars. Pictures of my favorite rock stars.

    And then I have a few that are more for my friends than for me. Good books I've read. These are really more for my friends than for me - maybe they want to see what I've been reading and think is good? I know that I look at their "good books I've read" pinboard to get recommendations, so I stick one up too for them to check, if they desire.

    I know artists who use Pinterest to organize ideas for their work by color, theme, etc. I'd like to do this myself when I have time, to organize some of my ideas for my graphic art. I have one friend who is a writer, and she has a pinboard for locations she'd like to use in her stories. I have seen people have pinboards for bucket lists....ideas for Christmas/birthday gifts, etc.

    Now, I WILL say that I'd still rather have sex. :lol: But Pinterest is more than just a place to catalog your conspicuous consumption and/or your lust for other people's shit. :lol:
