Eddie Vedder Reference in Stephen King's "The Regulators"

So I'm thinking Stephen King is a PJ fan. I finished reading "Desperation" last week and there was a Pearl Jam reference there, and now I'm reading the counterpart to that book, "The Regulators" and I found this on page 192:

"Johnny, lying face-down beside Brad in Ellen's room upstairs, can hear her screaming and understands that something terrible has happened. Bullets hemstitch the air above them. On the far wall is a picture of Eddie Vedder; as Johnny starts to wriggle toward the doorway to the hall, a huge bullet-hole appears in Eddie's chest."

Someone else said that Eddie and/or the band are referred to in King's "The Dream-Catcher."

One of my favorite authors and my favorite band are a good combination.

King just may not be a fan if he has a bullet ending up in Vedders chest.
