Based on the 5 shows I have listened to mostly in full (Toronto 1, Toronto 2, Montreal, Hamilton, and Winnipeg) I can safely recommend Hamilton as the best, since you can't buy the Toronto 1 show yet as its free on Google. The Hamilton bootleg sounds amazing, nice setlist with several rarities, and the band is extremely tight.

I found Montreal and Toronto 2 to be quite disappointing from a bootleg standpoint because of how many mistakes are made. A couple flub ups are usual, but those two shows are just filled with screw ups. Winnipeg is a very solid show that took me by surprise. The setlist was my least favorite out of the Canadian tour, but the show was actually really good.
    2008: Bonnaroo
    2010: Bristow
    2012: Atlanta
    2013: Charlottesville, Charlotte
    2014: Cincinnati
2016: Greenville, Hampton, Raleigh (cancelled), Columbia, Lexington

i've got montreal- mistake on sleight of hand devistated me..., 9/11- google freebie, winnipeg, hamilton and ottawa. i got hamilton because of all the praise it got. it is a GREAT show. winnipeg is stellar as well. ottawa is up there. if you're only going to get 1 i would go with hamilton. the energy from the band & crowd is superior. ed even mentions it during the show how good the crowd is at that show. winnipeg is a close second, then ottawa. i was skepitcal about hamilton b/c i kept reading about how everybody thought it was great, but fully agree after listening.

Haven't had a chance to listen to Vancouver yet, but man what a setlist. So much No Code is indeed a true plus.

I just got Hamilton. Was there ever any explanation as to why they switched to cd-r's? For 17 bucks they shouldn't really be cutting corners.

Calgary's setlist is fantastic, plus you get the REM cover. Seriously though, Calgary's setlist is off the charts awesome.

I've listened to Toronto 1, Toronto 2, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Hamilton and Vancouver. I was at Vancouver, so that's got a lot of weight for me, personally.

Vancouver rocks my socks. Hamilton is nothing short of great. Toronto 2 is solid as well.

Have to choose just one? It'd be Vancouver, followed closely by Hamilton.

(am anxious to listen to Calgary, however)

It's not so much that pearl jam switch to cd-r's, its that they switch out the production company. Pearl Jam been using Kufala for a number of years now. For the '05 tour (and '06?) they went purely digital, but alot of people still wanted physical product. They solution was to use Kufala. They're customer service is incredible, they ship fast, and the turnover time of product is quick. I don't think PJ has to worry about over/under ordering, because kufala burns them as needed.

I was honestly a bit bummed when they went to a company that didn't press discs (and I might if the discs every start to degrade), but I can see why they did it. I'd imagine for the small runs of bootlegs, the costs of pressing them is probably alot.

I've got no complaints about having Kufala make them. They could teach the world a thing or two about customer service :)

Thanks. I'm definitely happy with Kufala (super-fast shipping). I've just heard that cd-r's degenerate faster so they're obviously shittier quality and,I assume, cheaper.

It sort of depends. In my experience thus far. If you choose good blank media (ie read some reviews and what not, and pay a little extra for quality media), it seems to last a while.

IE I have CD's that I burned in 1997 that still work. When I started to burn DVD's, there were brands to stay away from, and brands to buy. I think optical media can last a long time if its made correctly.

Kufala uses tayo yuden (did i spell that right?) discs which are some of the best in the industry. If cdr's were going to last a long time, that would be one of the brands I would trust to do so. At least they're using high quality cdrs.

    Hard choice
I have all the shows...each amazing in their own way. Mobtreal & Ottawa are my least favorite.
    Hamilton is amazing
Calgary great (rem song is my fav)
    Vancouver great also
    Toronto 2 kicks butt

But I say Hamilton or Calgary

I downloaded the Saskatoon and absolutely love it! Especially when Ed butchered the lyrics for 'Running back to Saskatoon' then pulls a guy from the audience to sing it for him.
