Rock n Roll and the marketing around it was so cool back then,I was digging thru my stuff last night and found some photos of Led Zepplin and Van Halen that I had bought at record stores..I mean real Photos with the photographers name and phone # on the back and some promo Photos of the mighty Zep we used to get at concerts or where ever a rock fest was being held..just all kinds of stuff and I saved as much as I could but it seems these days that kind of stuff is harder to find.
any of you all that made it thru the 70's and 80's have some of that stuff ? and do they still have things like that around at record stores anymore ?

What are these "record stores" of which you speak?

I still have programs from some of those concerts... and TicketTron ticket stubs. I gave away all of my t-shirts because back then, we wore smaller sizes, not the larger ones we wear today. If I wore them today, they'd fit like a babt doll with my gut showing... not a pretty sight. I gave them to gals... smaller gals. They were some cool shirts, too: Zeppelin, Who, Police, Clash, Blondie, etc...
Today, you can just look online and print the photos to your Ink Jet... not the same.

Man, I'd kill to have some of my old shirts back. Unfortunately, my mom destroyed most (all?) of them. Most of my friends got grounded when their parents were pissed at them, but that was her way of punishing me because when I was grounded, it just meant I was in the house making her miserable.

there was a record store in El Cajon called Blue Meanie Records there was one in Hollywood for a while also but that store was the place to find anything Rock n Roll back, around 86-87 I bought a gold album issued to atlantic records for the first zep album..that was the 2nd gold album in rock n roll history with the first going to Iron butterflys in a gadda da vida album...got it for $65 and was offered $1400 about a month after I got it but I kept it and still have it.
