You couldn't ask for a nicer early fall day

    my 15 year-old son is going on a boy scout 3 day backpacking camping trip this weekend on a part of the Appalachian trail. I am kind of wishing I could go, I can't as my youngest son has soccer games (I coach the team). But I would love to be hiking through the woods this weekend - supposed to be perfect weather - up to 70 during the day, down to 50 at night, no rain.

    looks like another awesome fall day outside today. Orange, red, yellow leaves, green grass, blue sky, slight breeze, a little chilly. Just perfect.

    finally stopped raining....most of the leaves are gone...nice cool nip in the air...bring on the snow

    we have had so much rain here, I have only had my son's soccer team on the field 2 times in October - one game on October 1 and one practice this past Monday. Our home fields are in the bottom of an old quarry so they never really dry out.
