    Sure looks like your brother wants too. :o
    hippiemom = goodness
  • And not to harp on this too much... but do you see that much here that's "about sex?"

    I mean a few people in flambouyant costumes but nothing you wouldn't see at Carnivale or a Hallowe'en parade. Mostly regular guys in their motorcycle gear and people just... having fun.

    I don't see much about "sex" here.

    I would compliment you, your brother and your husband, but i generally hate anybody who's better looking than me, or taller or richer.

    That holds true for everyone, gay or straight. But lots of people assume that for gays, sex is some all-encompassing activity, as if nothing else could define their sense of self.

    Well, speaking out of my ass, and being a guy, i know how we feel about sex, so if there was two of us maybe it would be more defining to male gay couples than to female gay couples, But that's just one of my theory's.
    Well, I agree that with gay men there may be things that are male issues, not gay issues. But I've encountered plenty of straight people who think lesbians probably act exactly like gay men because after all, they're gay too.

    My point is that it's SEX that makes or defines them as gay. Without sex, there is no gay.

    I get that there's likely not sex at the parade, and I get that there's more to it such as a sense of community.

    But, at its core, there would be no gay pride parade without sex, so that is why I say it is based on that.

    And without sex, there would be no marriage... So I guess you think wedding processions are all about sex, too.

    And I think you're wrong.

    No, it's not SEX that defines them as gay. It's who they are sexually attracted to.

    You may be shocked to learn this but there actually are gay people who are celibate. Or are in long term monogamous relationships. I know gay couples that have been together for 20+ years. And those relationships aren't out of the ordinary. You just may not think about them if your main impression of gays is pride parades.

    Ummmm, this is also how it's easy to tell you are gay...

    Heterosexual marriages have nothing to do with sex.. Not to long after the "i do"s. ;)

    ummmm, pardon me, but the same can be said for heterosexuals as well.

    Sure theres not many born without a sexual attraction to another , same or opposite as the case may be. Nature of a human being, no?
