Philly surprisingly has few funny nicknames. One neighborhood, Manayunk, is lazily called the Yunk sometimes. Some good neighborhood names are: Nicetown (the scariest part of the city, of course) and Brewerytown.

Middle and northern part of Pennsylvania are known as Pennsyltucky. Although I see some other places take the
    "-Tucky" nickname as well.

Amish Country (Lancaster County, PA) has some awesome actual names of towns such as Climax, Bird in Hand, and a few others that I can't remember.

My ancestral home of Giulianova, Abruzzo is playfully known as Gigli (also the name of some crappy J-Lo movie I believe).

it was brisbanes lack of nightlife that earned it the nickname of brisvegas. things have changed since then but the name sticks.

I'm laughing at the bolded part, cause it's all you horny, seasonal workers that have allowed that moniker to spread (literally and figuratively ;) ):lol::lol:

Not so nice perhaps: Victoria, the city of the newly-wed and the nearly-dead (a.k.a. honeymooners and retirees   )
