Saturday night we went to the first black tie event in about 3 years. I hate the things, a load of guys dressed like penguins... just ridiculous!!!

Out came the dinner suit, sulking because it had been ignored for so long. I bought it in a sale and is very nice quality... or it was. It's a shame I hung it in a cupboard with a resident moth that had eaten parts of the right sleeve. There were small white patches that I thought were stains but were the inner webbing on show. I had to use a black felt pen to retouch the white bits.

I don't think anyone noticed and couldn't have given a shit if they did. The ceremonial burning will take place later and it will be a great excuse never to go to one of these events again.
