accoustic guitar - art & lutherie

i am playing guitar for quite a while now and now i am looking for a good priced, well sounding accoustic (parlor) guitar.
from all the reviews i’ve read so far, i think that the art & lutherie guitar might be quite good (see the link below). the problem is, that i don’t have a chance to test one model around here in my area where i am living.
so does anyone own that guitar? what it’s like? is it a good one? does it also sound good when strumming the strings compared to finger-picking?
and important: how about the size (as it is a parlor one), is there a big difference compared to „normal“ accoustics?
thanks for your help guys!
here’s the link of the guitar:

I have the same model with a spruce top (okay the exact model # might be different), and I love it. I didn't want to spend a bunch, but when comparing it to equally priced acoustics, nothing else competed.E. Great guitars for the money!Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0

I own an Ami with the cedar top, and I love it. Pretty decent tone for the small body, especially great for fingerpicking. The neck is a dream, very comfy (reminds me a lot of a Les Paul neck). Great tuners, good quality overall. The full scale-length is a huge plus for a small guitar....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0

Around $280-300 street price, US. I ended up with a TKL hardshell and a pickup installed, so mine has cost me more......and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0 -

Did you get a pickup installed later, because from their site the pickup wasn't an option like on the other models?Member 164xxx

My pickup is an aftermarket unit installed later. I went with a Schatten HFN Artist: http://schattendesign.com/HFN-Artist.htm , which I play thru a Radial PZPre preamp/DI. Don't ask what the DI cost.
From what I know, the Godin systems in the other A&L guitars are pretty good pickups. It's surprising that they haven't installed them in the Ami yet (I bought mine years ago).
For those who don't know, A&L is part of the Godin family, which also includes Seagull, Norman, Richmond, and Simon & Patrick. Very well-made instruments....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0
