    I voted against all inclumbents.

If it was a 1 person race, I didn't vote if the person was an incumbent.

I only voted for people who weren't currently in office.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

my brother is the campaign manager for congressional candidate in my district. i am not a fan of that particular political party and would not vote for his candidate under normal circumstances. am i wrong to vote against my principles solely to support my brother not being unemployed after today?

seriously---what would you do here? i keep telling him the only way i'm voting for his guy is if there can be an asterisk next to my vote

that's a tough one. i say you put blinders on, and vote for the person you would vote for regardless of your brothers affiliation. no need to tell your brother who you voted for.

What about the Green Party Candidate, Rich Whitney? He has run a great campaign and is very fair. He has great ideas about how to fix the Illinois budget crisis!! GO GREEN!!!

i like the legalization angle, but the pro tax everything is a no no. cut spending, reduce taxing.

How do they handle voting there? The only record here is that you voted, the ballots are anoymous

right. it is anonymous...but candidates and campaigns have access to those records. they are not allowed to disseminate it to the public though. so i guess, technically, my bro should be in jail right now.

  • I voted and it seems that in every race I was voting for the lesser of two evils. All the candidates sucked, just a matter of picking the one that sucks the least.

i still don't get this. if it is anonymous how does anyone have the ability to look to see who you voted for?

we get a blank un numbered ballot, fill in who we are voting for and than stick it into a counting machine.

or we can do it electronically, but once again, it doesn't record our name.

in Toledo they had the old style switch machine. you pull a lever to close the curtain, flick little swtichs to place your vote. then you pull the lever back, it counts your vote and resets the machine for the next person.

i've never seen a ballot that had a name attached to it.
