Updated my Windows XP machine with the latest Microsoft Updates. Wouldn't an old version get deleted like Framework 2 for the new Framework 4? Do I leave all these Microsoft programs on the PC or delete the older versions? Would anything happen if I do? Any help would be great.

Thanks!

  • You can keep those on there. Different applications use different versions of .net so I would not remove those. This is kind of a strange place to be looking for these type of answers.

    Good Luck

I'll keep them on. It's weird I got 2 PC's with the same specs & hardware and when I reinstalled both XP's and doing the whole update windows XP, one PC didn't get all these Framework & Visual C++ versions while the other one got all these apps. Both also have the same downloadable freeware apps like VLC, DVD Decrypter, Nero etc.. Not sure what's going on.
