Really? When I first came across one in Chicago two years ago I had to try it to see what the hype was and I just wasn't impressed.
The other customers in there were pretty entertaining though...

I've been near in and outs for years. burgers are good. i do not care for their fries.
We just had a 5 guys open just up the street. I have yet to try it.
You should see the business they're getting at the In and Out up north in Centerville... I think people would bail on their children in a life or death situation just to wait in line...

In-N-Out Burger and Five Guys Burgers and Fries shared the crown for offering the best-tasting burger in a recently published online survey conducted by Consumer Reports magazine.

The burgers, ranked from best to worst on a scale of 1 to 10, were as follows:

5) Back Yard Burgers, 7.6
6) Culver’s Frozen Custard, 7.5
7) Whataburger, 7.3

We don't have In and Outs in Chicago.. Five Guys is ok, but over priced for what it is..
My favorites include, Fuddruckers, Red Robin, Culver's and of course White Castle (when intoxicated).
I had Sonic once and it was the most overrated generic fast food I had ever had. There was nothing special or unique about it. It just tasted like a million other small chain fast food joints. Nothing special.
BTW, Does "In and Out" refer to people pooping the stuff out? Thats all I can think about when I hear the name.

Can't comment on In 'N Out since I've never had it, but I just got back from Five Guys and it was damn good. Still, nothing tops Johnson's in Siler City, NC or Bill and Leah's in Kernersville, NC for my money.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I guess standing in line for 3 hours for some freedom fries isn't so bad when you're used to a 5-hour line just to buy a loaf of stale bread.
I was thinking the same thing
Hahahaha...Five Guys?! That's how I feel after Three Guys.

Five Guys is good, but I think the burgers are kind of greasy. And overpriced. In n Out is better and better value.
