    This is sort of mine & my wife's song as I put the LO2L version of this song on a mix cd I made for her way back when we were dating. Through the years & over 42 shows, the only times I've ever seen this song live is when we've been together (she's been to 12 shows with me). The first was SF 2006, next was OAK 2013 with my oldest daughter in attendance with us as well and again in Milan 2014. 

    Cool story. The first time we both saw it live together was back in SF 2006. She was five months pregnant with our first daughter and was worried about going to a concert that far along so she didn't go to the first two shows but decided to go the final night with me at the last minute. When they started playing the opening chords to the song my wife & just looked at each other and held hands, but when Ed threw in the new lyric of "just get the kids and come along", we both immediately teared up. I think that was the night my wife finally understood my crazy obsession with this band.

    LO2L is probably the definitive version...there's one a little later (2000? 2006?) where he sings this "I love you...." lyric near the end and that's quite nice. I also like Newport 2012 and Philly 2013.

    Edit...it was the SF 2006 that others were referring to. Beautiful.

    When I first saw the question I first thought it had to be Kansas City in 2000.  "I could be there in 58 minutes or so".  And it ends beautifully with Ed singing, "I need you............I feel you............I want you...........I hear you"  or something like that.

    I checked the recommended Philly night 2 one from 2000 and it was fantastic.  I think I still prefer the KC one but only barely.  Now that I have the nugs.net app I can listen to every version since 2000 with ease.  I think I might just do that.  It's a great song leading into MFC.  Wonderful combo there.  Oh yes, that SF version from 2006 is great also.
