Ichiro was so much fun to watch.  Loved those first few years, how much we all were stunned at how good dude was, all around.
    Stepped in and dominated.

Thought there was a chance he might get 100%^ of the vote. I think he got like 99.7

There was 1 asshole who didn't vote for Ichiro.
Yeah, I just don't get what justification someone can come up with for not voting for him. It has to be some petty bs, which imo, should strip them of their vote from now on.
Are they looking for their " 5 minutes of fame?"
Do they want to feel "important " for a few minutes?

I never understood anybody's aversion to making someone a first ball hall of famer. It's actually hard to believe it was more of a thing years ago from 1937 through 1961 nobody got in on the first ballot and that includes people like Joe DiMaggio.
Willie Mays didn't get 100% of the vote?

    Amazingly 94 percent: https://www.baseball-reference.com/awards/hof_1979.shtml
And the only guy to get 100% is a reliever?

Who averaged 70 innings a year?
which is the nuttiest thing given all the greats throughout history.
Ty Cobb had the highest percentage for years until Tom Seaver.  So players like Mike Schmidt, Willie Mays, Johnny Bench, STAN MUSIAL and TED WILLIAMS were all not voted in unanimously.

The fact that Bonds, Arod Clemens and the bunch, Palmiero too, aren't in is still a crime.

Now Hip surgery.  Fucking guy became glass at 30.  That will go down as the worst contract in the history of baseball.  It will be many years to break this one.

Nelson Reda is coming to Spring Training.  Ill enjoy seeing that.

I GUESS the bregman deal is a “win” for the sox but, man, those opt outs are so player friendly. if he sucks and goes downhill, the sox are on the hook for another $80M. if he has a great season, he’s one and done. I do know cliffy is fond of alex.

Had to pay more per annum to get the shorter term deal (other teams were offering 6 years) and there is deferred money so only costing about $30 mil towards the luxury tax threshold.

But the simple answer is "no". He's not a 40Mil/yr guy.

Since Cleveland was one of those who lost their regional carrier, they are offering a streaming package of all their (non nationally exclusive) games for $99 for the season.  I bundled that with MLB TV, which I buy every year anyway for $199. Great!

For some reason, I am in the Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Yankees, Mets, and Blue Jays local market.
