Weiters with a 2-base passed ball. Nice.

Guess I'll get Game 1 of the World Series again this year. Hopefully it actually happens this time.
Wait. What's that again? Of course, but I think it's become an almost unspoken rule that the Phils thread has become a thread to talk about everything Philly-related.

Surely. It's fun to chat about gastropubs and doofus pubs and the like. :P No other thread for it, right?

believe me, as a brewer fan I've seen him Sosa us a few times, but I've seen him suck so bad a lot too. it's funny when guys who have no idea what they are talking about try pumping fans who have no idea what to believe up with comparisons that make no sense. i wonder if we'd love old players as much if they were on tv eveyrday though..

Nope. Not at all. Actually, any Philly sports thread is about everything but the topic at hand for that matter. And I know how incredibly tough that is for you.

Like typical Phila fans, we really only talk Phillies when we have something to bitch about. So far this year, a lot of talk about beer, pubs, and you-know-who, of course.

So Bochy isn't gonna run any Giants onto the mound?

Or Lincecum in the 9th - after he almost blew the NLCS last year?

yeah, it is bad. hardly ever makes a difference though.

game tonight actually wasn't bad at all. right around 3 hours is pretty quick considering all of the lineup/pitching changes.
  • RW81233RW81233 Posts: 2,393
perhaps the AL can learn from 3 hour games...
  • tcaporaletcaporale Posts: 1,577
Not a very exciting game, but it wasn't that bad. The AL definitely doesn't dominate like it used to. Although if everyone who was supposed to be there actually went, maybe the outcome would be different. Doesn't matter though.

Heath Bell seems like a funny dude.

least it didn't end in a tie
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?
