I think the bat flip is different than the other two (stealing/bunting) -- I am OK with it, within reason, but it is about showing your ass and making a spectacle of yourself.  Stealing and Bunting is about trying to compete.
Perez has been criticized for being an ass when younger -- kinda surprised he made a stink about this.

We most likely only heard part of the story.  There is so much crap that goes on in a game that you wouldn't realize something irked him?

I'm ok with the bat flip.  Given that it is just that, a flip of the bat.  That shit Jose Bautista pulled in the playoffs a couple years back was a violent throwing of the bat, not a flip. That has no place in the game.

I loathe Joey Bats, but that was as awesome of a hit as I can remember.  After the top of that inning, that hit.  The reaction was perfect

Not a fan of goggles for celebrating but it makes absolute sense, lol.
