rumor is lee for garza. not something I'd want to hear if I'm an LA fan

A lot of action last night. Hanley to the Dodgers and Hamels extended w/ Philly. Hamels is a great pitcher, but that is a shitload of money for a guy who has never won more than 15 games. Phils have $95M locked up with 4 players for next year(Howard, Lee, Halladay, Hamels).

Good chance Lee gets traded then. Or this organization is saying fuck it, and doesn't give a shit about the luxury tax. Their TV deal with Comcast coming up in a few years is going to be the biggest to date.

    Really? Wins? Really?

Yeah, money doesn't seem to be an issue with the Phillies.

True...number of wins don't really matter. Hamels is an awesome pitcher, but $24M for one guy is just crazy to me. But obviously the Phillies have the money, so why the hell not

marlins - 2 WS rings notwithstanding, what a joke of an organization. can't believe they stuck the taxpayers with a stadium for a team no on gives a shit about.

phillies - more money than sense. $24M per year for a guy who is 36-31 over the last three.

d*dgers - they now have so much money, they can replace a shitty $7M/yr SS with a shitty $20M/yr shortstop  . fuck, I hope they don't get dempster. I already miss the McCourt years.

giants - MRI says it's not panda's hammy. we need the guy.

yankees - no great loss with a-fraud. the only thing "elite" anymore is his salary.

Should of been an in the park home run if he would of ran instead of thinking it was going to be caught. But a run is a run.

I knew the Atl deal would die. Oh well, hopefully the Braves can find someone to be their fifth starter. Beachy going down for the year REALLY hurt them.

The Oakland A's had their 12th walk off win of the season last night, securing the best record in July at 19-4. They also passed the Giants for the best record in the bay!

I love how dusty baker pretends to have nothing to do with it any time one of his opponents gets hit. He needs an ass kicking

Yeah, seems like everyone was getting hit in that series. He always plays dumb with everything. That team always seems to be starting shit. McCutchen ate that and just walked to first, pretty awesome.

Yeah, it was justified vs STL because larussa is equally as douchey, but he does seem to unprovokingly start shit. It's a shame too because I really like the reds squad, fun team to watch...just can't stand their manager

mccutchen is a beast. Poor man's Trout
