I gotta say MLB.tv is an absolute steal if you get it in August. I think I paid $35 for the rest of the season? Getting to watch the Cubs fall to pieces, Dodgers game, Marlins game, and this stellar Houston/Seattle game at the same time is pretty great.
MLB.tv is literally a steal every year if you’re a T-Mobile customer. I’ve gotten it for free every year for a decade!

I believe either this or next year is the last of their contract with MLB, though. I’m not 100% certain on that so I could be completely wrong.

    RIP Brooks Robinson.
Great defensive player. One of the best ever.
He is the best 3rd baseman defensively ever.  No slouch behind the plate either.  16 straight Gold Gloves.  The human vacuum cleaner.

    RIP

Definitely the greatest defensive 3B of all time but not the greatest 3B of all time

    RIP
    I said Defensive...

yeah i was agreeing with you

Acuna first guy to 40-70. Cubs (well the announcers anyway)weren't too happy they paused the game to commemorate this though

Congrats to the Orioles. They've been such a fun team to watch going back to about the middle of last season when they won 10 in a row right before the all star break.

I don't like the Marlins but suspending the game last night was idiotic.  If they have to return to finish the game on Monday that would be a sham.

This might have something to do with Kapler being fired, from the end of an article on the Athletic about Logan Webb being frustrated:

Other Giants players who have attempted to bring professionalism to the clubhouse have been frustrated by the results.

Outfielder Mike Yastrzemski, second baseman Thairo Estrada, and infielder Wilmer Flores are among those who sought to refocus a clubhouse that has included too many ho-hum reactions to losing along with a near-zealotry to Pusoy, a Filipino card game that Joc Pederson and some other Giants players appear to find more compelling than studying the night’s opposing starting pitcher.

Some Giants players noticed small but telling signs in the clubhouse this season. The blaring, postgame victory playlist is a staple in most clubhouses. At some point, though, someone decided that it would be appropriate to play Bob Marley music in the clubhouse after losses.

“When’s the last time you heard music in a major-league clubhouse after a loss?” one Giants player, granted anonymity in order to speak freely, said. “I mean, you shouldn’t hang your head for too long after a loss. But you shouldn’t be OK with it, either.”

Interesting. I need to subscribe to that.

A fellow Giants fan came over yesterday (prior to Gabe's firing) and we were discussing the (sorry) state of the Giants (for five hours!). Gabe's name came up. My buddy considered him a "babysitter" and mentioned the Giants' lack of professionalism and/or urgency. After five hours, we came up with no solutions...other than buying the team ourselves.

The main topic was about Logan Webb pitching like a Cy Young candidate and being frustrated with the team but unsure if he should speak out since a starting pitcher only pitches every five days or so.
