As promised, episode #36 explores Eddie Vedder’s contributions to movie soundtracks – the most notable, of course, being Into The Wild. A few covers and collaborations and a bunch of originals comprise a solo body of work that ranges from serious and reflective to determined and whimsical. All in all, it’s a fascinating look at our favorite front man exploring new musical territory outside the framework of the band.
Next week I plan to catch up on some listener requests and suggestions as I get back into the swing of things after my brief trip back down south. Let us know how the wedding went, I'm getting married in August (just after some EuroTour fun) and struggling to decide which PJ song to put on the list. Thinking I can get away with a EV solo track, some Mirror Ball, Brad, etc too...
Speaking of which, have you played any live Mirrorball songs yet? If not, and if you can find a good version, how about 'I am the ocean'? I saw them at the Reading Festival one year many moons ago but not sure if there is a boot out there?
