This is a pretty powerful speech, and I believe that he hits the nail on the head-- The vaccine industry corrupts the FDA and CDC, and it's all downhill from there:

No problem. It's good to see this stuff is starting to get some real attention. It cannot be emphasized enough that people should not put blind trust into a drug, food, or any other substance simply because it is FDA approved. Quite the opposite, really. The influence that these companies hold over our federal agencies is tremendous-- do we ever get the real story from them as to what is safe, and what isn't? I mean, this isn't Ron Paul up here talking about this, this is Robert Kennedy admitting that government is failing us.

He makes a great point towards the end of the second video about the existence of autism within the Amish community-- it's BARELY THERE.

yeah, according the % of kids with autism they should've had something like 120 kids with autism but the amish only had 4 and 3 of those kids were adopted after they received all of their vaccinations and the 4th lived near a coal plant....

i edited my first reply and put in a video link, they make some good points like 1 of the people deciding which vaccines are given to children is on the board of 1 of the major vaccine makers and how we give far more vaccinations to our kids than the 30 other industrialized nations and in 1989 the amount of vaccines we give our children more than doubled!

Quite a few variables there, no?

NO... this is RFK, JR. And, having met the man he's pretty flaky at times.

repeat after me kids... Correlation does not equal causation. Besides, it's kinda hard to get detailed medical information on the Amish, anyway.

exactly my thoughts. There are many other facets about Amish life that are different from ours.

I could, with just as much logic, say that because they don't drive cars THAT must be the reason they don't get autism.
Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

Agreed with you and Cincy that correlation does not equal causation, and that there are definitely some variables involved. I just thought that this was interesting to point out.

Anyway, my stance remains firm. Do your own research before simply accepting the government, or any single source's perspective on whether or not a vaccine is safe.

Right, I left out the junior on accident. It's also pretty safe to say that his father didn't come back from the dead to speak on this issue.

The problem with "other perspectives" is that they often lack credibility. And usually, you just end up with unqualified talking heads blowing smoke out their asses. Just ask Fox News.

Better to trust the scientists and researchers who are at least "supposed" to know what they're talking about.

Of course scientists and researcher's opinions are valued-- but do they all have to be government approved? I'll take the FDAs perspective on things, but not without checking it against other sources, other scientists and researches. Watch the video in IHSN's post on this thread.
