all of this is a distraction to take everyone's attention away from the really important issues that are not being addressed. there are 2 wars, 47 million people without health care, trillion dollar budget deficit, just to name a few things, and this has been brought to the forefront. this is the top news of the last 2 days?....these politicians are buying into this and commenting on it so that WE forget the important issues so congress can get the hell out of DC for their august recess without making any decisions on anything of substance. it is nothing more than stalling. every day that something like this ties up the news cycle is a day that no pressure is put on anyone in congress and nothing gets close to getting done.

In one of those wars Afghanistan we've had the highest troops death toll since 2001. So yes far bigger issues to deal with than the President's Choice of words on this matter.

you seem like the most pissed off person here...

its a political message board. people come here to talk about politics. there are other issues besides fucking health care. not all issues are major. i commented on this one. he should have shut the fuck up on something he didnt know the specifics of. that is the "right" choice and you know it.

let's see...who in this thread said he should have shut the fuck up ...? because wasn't me...

and who said: its not a huge deal and then followed with just make the right damn choice....?

and you say I'm pissed off...

and no, I don't know it...I made my stance pretty clear...don't get upset because I don't agree with your fractured line of reasoning...hey, if you want to place 100% blame on a fella who simply returned from a trip abroad, showed his ID, proved he lived in his home, and was arrested because he raised his voice...I do find it telling that you support arresting people for yelling...
  • sorry, i didnt know making the right decision was wholly dependent on how important the decision was. i'll be sure and act randomly for minor decisions in the future, and save the common sense for the really important ones. happy?

I agree entirely with your post.

Obama's already been drilled more for this in the media than Bush was for making jokes about his justification for invading Iraq being complete bullshit. For those with short memories, ''Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be here somewhere. " Lovely

That being said, the media reaction of course, has been predictable, as predictable as how easy people have allowed their focus to be turned away from the real issue. That is Healthcare Reform.

Or as it is and should be branded now, "Health Insurance Reform". Like the wingnuts have said, our health care is great, but it is only great if you can afford it, which is probably the top 1-10% who can. Its more the coverage and insurance that needs to be reformed, than the actual care, even though our care can be improved as well.
