Portland's 94.7 Rumor About PJ Show
So, 94.7 just stated after they played "The Fixer" that although no Portland dates have been confirmed yet, "rumor has it that they will make a stop in Portland." They have said that twice today....
Thoughts? I'm actually getting a little frustrated regarding these staggered announcements....People pay big money to take time off work, travel etc.. to go to shows like Seattle, only to find out later that they could have saved tons and seen PJ in their hometown....

where there's smoke there's fire.
I am especially pissed about Vegas. this piecemeal tour announcement needs to stop. not sure why the band or its management doesnt care.

I'm sure the band would love to announce everything and sell the tickets as soon as possible but there are other considerations, I suppose. I'm just going to make the best decision I can with the information I have at the time I need to make it and get on with life. I'm sure I'll be seeing some shows, so it ain't that bad.
Don't forget the 2 extra rumored shows in Philly.
"At this time, there are no more North American dates to be added to the current tour."
However I to believe where there is smoke there is fire. Jim Koplick, a concert promoter in connecticut was recently asked about pj and said "they will be touring in the fall, we are looking at the civic arena or the mohegan sun arena." So add connecticut to the list.

Yeah, what´s so upsetting about the OP´s inquiry?
I'm in Vancouver (Washington). I listen to KUFO quite a bit. I have noticed they are playing A LOT more Pearl Jam in the past few days. I'm not sure what this means other than there is a lattice of coincidence going on right now with PJ and I like it.
God, I'd kill or die for a Portland show. Please sweet zombie jesus, make it happen.
I also wonder if it could be another CCFA benefit type thing like the show here at the Schnitz in '06. I could definitely go for another show in a 3000 seat venue. Although the higher ticket price would suck, but it was worth it 3 years ago.
The only days open are September 20th, which is doubtful seeing as it's the night before the 2 Seattle shows, and then between the 25th and 29th, which wouldn't make a lot of sense because it would mean even more backtracking, ie. doing Portland or Vegas (or both) before returning north of the border.
Too bad, because it would be great to see them in my neck of the woods after watching them in theirs!
Yeah...that Schnitz show was freikin sweet!! Followed by the Gorge was one of the best PJ weeks EVER! I'm trying to be optimistic about the way these staggering shows are coming up and trying not to attribute this to THE BAND!
I checked Clark County Amphitheater and the last scheduled date is Sept. 11th. I don't think they schedule anything late Sept. because of the weather. However, the Rose Garden has the 23rd, 25th and 26th open. Plus there are concerts on the 24th and 27th, so the seating and stage area would already be in place...
They're not beneath playing at the Pacific Colliseum, they did that in the summer of '98 when GM place had already been up and running for a few years (and well out of hockey season).
True - and it has (barely) better acoustics than GM Place.
Had there been other shows in the northwest... maybe portland, montana, idaho I probably would of made other plans. Seattle gets packed to the rafters with 10c fans, so you'd get better tickets going to a less popular show. It's a win for you and a win for seattle because people who spread out to the other shows take less seats and the people still going to seattle sit closer.
Scattering the announcements makes its hard to plan.. then you plan. they announce more shows, its annoying if there was a better plan to have been made.
There's only 2 months left until the seattle shows.. so thats shortening the amount of time they could announce more shows. Then again if you look at the schedule the seattle shows are sitting there on their own. A fair amound of days off, then california? whats with the gap?
