Im sure there are threads already about this but this band is fucking amazing. Only band to sound like my joint favourite band The Smashing Pumpkins (only reason how i got into them as i dont follow the mainstream music, and if i idid i wouldnt have heard of them on the radio over here!)

I havent listened to them for ages but one of their bootlegs was just in my bootlegs to listen folder and i listenened to it and now im obsessed with them again!

Such an incredible band, do listen to "Swoon" if you havent, fantastic album.

Atm i cant stop listening to The Royal We and Panic Switch -

I love them! Saw them at OSL last Summer. They rock hard and have a refreshing sound.

they seem to be a band people love to hate right now, but I have always loved their sound. Carnavas is a flawless record and Swoon is great as well. Even their Ep stuff is great. Kissing Families is perfect.

I love the sound they create, just this orchestrated noise, organized noise. Love when they freak out with their guitars

Love Panic Switch! One of the best rock songs I heard on the radio in 09.

Edit: Whoa, thats a dude singing? lol, though the voice sounded like Kim Deal at first!

The bass line definitely does sound like her.

Swoon was my #1 album this year. have yet to see them live though. Love "There's No Secrets This Year" and of course the song that really got me into them, "Lazy Eye".

Panic Switch is definitely one of the better songs to come out of 09.

Three Seed on Carnavas is my personal favorite by them.

I don't know where you get that Pumpkins vibe. They don't sound like Billy Corgan's pompous ass at all!

Smashing Pumpkins? Not sure about that. The 1979 Pumpkins or the Siamese Dream Pumpkins? I think 1979 is an absolutely horrible song, and I love the Pickups.

Can't wait to see them & Muse in March - two of my current favorites!
