I saw him in Ottawa this summer, was amazing!

Also I got to chat with him after, could not have been a nicer guy! We talked gear for a while, answered all my questions, etc..
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

He was one of my favorites out of all the opening acts at PJ20. He's a bit out there, but he's interesting.

I finally got to download it over the weekend and I am loving it! I gave a donation and I'm seriously considering going for the vinyl as well, has anybody else ordered it yet?

Joseph posted this on his Facebook page yesterday:
We are working on physical release for redemption city with four bonus tracks which are my favorite songs right now. Very exciting!
    Followed quickly by:
Well that's too much pressure. What I should say is bonus tracks that don't suck.
I hope the bonus tracks make it onto the vinyl version. If not I may just have to buy the cd. Either way it's great that this is going to get a physical release :)

    I just saw this too:
    http://www.themusiczoo.com/blog/2012/joseph-arthur-hand-painted-godin-kingpin-guitars/

Joseph has teamed up with Godin to do a series of custom-one off hand-painted Kingpin Custom guitars. I'd love to get my hands on one of them!

Apparently Joseph has just about finished another new album, The Ballad Of Boogie Christ

    http://blog.kexp.org/2012/03/05/interview-joseph-arthurs-redemption-city/
I think it’s finally done. 'Redemption City' helped me clarify what that album is all about. There are themes from both albums that overlap, and so 'Redemption City' really took some pressure off of 'Boogie Christ' and now Boogie can breathe. Boogie Christ lives in Redemption City. In my head, 'Redemption City' was actually by Boogie Christ and 'The Ballad of Boogie Christ' is by me and about Boogie Christ. Plus, I had and have the idea that the whole thing could and maybe should be a Broadway musical. I’m sure that sounds like madness, but I went deep inside this concept and again that’s why I believe making 'The Graduation Ceremony' in the middle of all this prevented me from losing my mind.

    This is a nice listen on a Saturday morning: http://www.daytrotter.com/#!/concert/jo ... @gmail.com

I heard that Joseph is hooking up with Jeff Ament and is recording new songs! Can't wait to hear them!
  • Bump for Joe. He rocks. Just saw him a few weeks back in Hudson, NY with one of the dudes from the Jayhawks. Great show.

Just finished listening to the Daytrotter session - damn this guy is good! Someone To Love and Toxic Angel sound so good in this session.

There's also a 2008 Daytrotter session that Joseph did with The Lonely Astronauts that's pretty good:

Apologies for bumping a year-old thread but Joseph just posted a photo of Juliette Lewis singing background vocals on “Saint of Impossible Causes” on the forthcoming Boogie Christ record.

I was wondering what was going on with this record after RNDM took off. Glad to hear he's still working on it... and Fistful of Mercy... and RNDM! :)
