not sure if this is in the right section?
ok im looking at purchasing some headphones and am after advice on what to get or what not to get
I dont want cheap and nasty and I dont really need top of the line headphones either. I am just after recommandations and opinoins etc. I seem to remember seeing a topic started earlier similar to this but cat find it anywhere so feel free to direct me to that one too. Also do headphones improve the listening experience? I read a few times people like to listen to vinyl on their headphones because they hear things they dont normally hear without headphoes or something like that. thanks

Love my Beats... Have Pros and wireless... Both are great0

here's what I have and yes listening to music through headphones is far superior.
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-V6-Monitor-Headphones-Voice/dp/B00001WRSJ/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1385470987&sr=1-6&keywords=sony+headphones
But everything is just an opinion when it comes to these things0 -
Groupon just had a areal for Beats Tours for 79.99 Pretty decent price point.
Can't go wrong with Bose either.0 -

Bought these second hand off ebay. Stunning sound. Cost £100. But worth every penny<img src="http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx46/tremors25/thefixerthrilla1.gif" align="left">

Even the lowest priced Grado headphones are great. I have these http://www.gradolabs.com/page_headphones.php?item=7dc9cd9943a15d7462ff0da21ff04a150

+1 for the Grado's. Incredible sound. Sennheisers are also a very nice recommendation. These brands are meant to be listened to through an amp/receiver (at home) so if you're looking for a pair that will also plug into and ipod and can be used on the go you should look into other options.
And yes, music through headphones makes a big difference.0 -
thanks the the ideas everyone :thumbup:0

I have always been incredibly impressed with Sony MDR headphones, and having spent time in pro audio, I can tell you that Sony MDR headphones are almost universally popular among audio professionals. I've used the cheap ones and the expensive ones, and I've loved them all. The set I recommend most are the Sony MDR-7506, and I dare you to find any headphones that sound better without costing at least twice as much....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0
