...how many of you "fans" have reacted to our favourite band coming to Australia to tour the nation on Australia's premier music festival, the Big Day Out.

So many people whinging about the type of crowd at the BDO, when I bet they haven't been to a BDO in years. I have. I have been to 11 since '99, and they have been fantastic days. I have seen some amazing acts in the early days of their careers (White Stripes on a sidestage in the arvo, same with Kings Of Leon, Death Grips last year).

Drunk bogans ruining it? I'd much rather some drunk dude standing next to me singing at the top of his lungs with his can of beer held high, yelling all the words to Alive or Given To Fly and wanting to hear Betterman next... than stand next to some grumpy 35 year old who feels like Pearl Jam have betrayed him by not playing 3 arena shows in their home city. Your younger self would be ashamed at your attitude!

So it's $185. It's steep, but you get to see some huge acts play full sets (Blur, Arcade Fire, Snoop Dogg), plus Mudhoney, Tame Impala and Cosmic Psychos! And from memory the last time PJ toured tickets were like $130 anyways, 4-5 years ago.

Pearl Jam have played festivals all over the world since their earliest days until Lollapalooza in South America this year. Fans have only been appreciative, in all instances! But us privileged Aussies... it's not good enough for us! We want them to recreate our best concert memory, start an "** Official Petition **" requesting some B-side, and play in our city to our timetable.

Ten Club couldn't announce it earlier due to being contracted to BDO. But they still arranged an exclusive pre-sale that started this morning and was a breeze to use. I bet no one had trouble getting tickets. No lottery. Just a password... and done! Tickets!

It's disheartening seeing a lot of people cry that they feel cheated by the band. Grow up. Don't go to the BDO. Easy. You have a choice. I, for one, will enjoy the hell out of it!

I need a break from this forum... it's a terrible place at the moment. Same with the Ten Club Members Facebook page... mostly a joke! Be grateful, people! Our favourite band is coming down under!

    I understand what your trying to say but EVERYONE is entitled to one's opinion and they also have a right to be miffed. lets face it, not everyone has $185 to spend for 1 ticket and its not ideal for a fan with physical limitations either. Extreme heat plays havoc with me personally, as does a manic, crazy crowd but i will still be there.
    I am over my initial disappointment at the fact they are not doing their own tour and I'm excited to see them regardless. I used to enjoy the BDO a lot but after around 2000, it began to change in my opinion and it seems I'm not alone in that. It's a positive move on the BDO's behalf though to have PJ there because we will hopefully bring a better vibe to the place this year. :P

    You are damn right $185 is a lot for money for 1 ticket.... really don't think I will be going...And I'm sure the $130.00 charged for the 09 concert was for 2 tickets right?

    I have been to my fair share of BDO's and other outdoor festivals, however if there was more than 1 band I wanted to see I wouldn't have a problem... Just would prefer to see another PJ show with a truly PJ audience.

    It's a little disappointing since I have been waiting since 1995 for my next PJ experience....oh well, maybe I might win some tickets....oh well as Ned Kelly said, such is life. I will get over it. ;)

    It's not just old fans getting pissed either, I was 14 for the 2003 tour, which would have made me too young to go to BDO, I'm sure there are kids under 15 who would have loved to see them and for whom it would be their first PJ shows

    *Edit, okay so I was 15, and old enough but the point still stands
    I don't mean to offend anyone, a lot of what I say should be taken with a grain of salt... that said for most of you I'm a stranger on a computer on the other side of the world, don't give me that sort of power!

    What makes me angry is that I get an email then 3 hours later the pre sale is on!!! What the fuck is that all about!!!! Ten Club is supposed to make it easier for the paid up members be organized & have money ready to buy tickets. I get home at 230pm to try & be in the pre sale & there is nothing on the website at all for this option. Has it sold out already? We have the password but there is nothing to say that the pre sale is on or sold out!!!!! The problem with now trying to buy in the general sale is I am not sure how many tickets are on sale & PJ could easily sell 40000-50000 just for them alone!!!!! I am lucky that money is not a problem but where was the warning to be able to buy in the pre sale? Luckily i am off Wednesday when they go on sale & if i cannot get tickets i will be fucking livid & the Ten Club will find that out!!!! Out of fucking order :nono:

    i just try to all the links for the presale for members and put the code
    there are available tickets for all the shows
    go to the email 10c sent you,clik the link for the show-shows u want to go,pick how many tic want per show,you can up to 6 tix per show)enter the code,and then you see your shopcard..check out..

    No, it was for one ticket.

    I recall tickets being around $115-$120 each (and around the same for each Vedder solo ticket in 2011).

    Blood pressure is ok now as i went on to the website instead of following the link doh!!! Anyhow have got 2 tickets but still think it has been poorly timed & i woke at 3am to see the email then they are on sale at 9am!!!!! Not keen on festivals anymore but need to see my 10th show!!!

    Yeah thanks mate i went on to the site instead following the link in the email, been a long day but have 2 tickets confirmed. Still think the Ten Club could of given us more time for the pre sale. Also Westpac online banking is down & just had enough in my account so i didn't need to do a transfer!!!
