    Which came first, the fall tour dates or the pj20 alpine bootlegs?

    Being that so may other artists performed during the PJ sets at PJ20, I wonder if it is too difficult to sort out the legal/business issues involved in releasing the boots.....just a semi-educated guess!

    No matter the reason, they simply need to state yes or no on the matter. No communication after almost 2 years on them is a bit lengthy.

    I think when they don't know, instead of saying that, they say nothing, which is frustrating for us, but they don't want to promise something they cant deliver.

    this was my assumption a while back too.

    at this point you have to wonder about the back office side of these things regarding the label, the rights to release, etc, etc. there might be something surrounding the TOTD part of the show that is blocking this from getting an offical release.

    similiar to how rocking in the free world was omitted from pearl jam's release of MTV unplugged and a drop in the park. they might have hit the same snags with PJ20 and with the encores being such a big part of the show, they probably rather not release the boots than release it with a big portion of the performance missing.

    I like this thread. Support it in a big way. I can understand some of the legal matters with all of the other acts who joined PJ that weekend, but damn, it would be a travesty if that is what keeps these from ever being released.

    Philly, yes.

    Gorge kinda, for the box set but you had the downloadable boots from basecamp the day after those shows, so it really did not matter the box set was just a nice extra add on to the collection.
