Mid-West Shows this fall?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who fears that Wrigley will be the only Mid-west show this year but does anyone think there might be a few other shows this fall? Detroit? Cleveland? Indianapolis? Minneapolis? Milwaukee?
Any chance? Sound off.

Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

That isn't sound logic.....

I would expect for there to be some Midwest shows. Cleveland and Indy were played in 2010. I can't remember about Detroit. Minneapolois and Milwaukee were last played in 2006 if I remember right. So hopefully they play the cities they haven't been to in a a while. Hoping for Cincy and Pittsburgh. It's almost been 7 years for those 2 cities.0

Really hope there are a few more this fall other than Wrigley as well. I could see Minneapolis, Cincy, Detroit, and possibly Milwaukee (maybe Alpine?) getting some love. I would really hope for another Kansas City and St. Louis showing, but probably won't be that lucky since they played there in 2010. Or at least St. Louis - seems like they like playing and have great shows there.Bristow, VA - 5.13.10

They did not play Detroit in 2010 so that would be nice to see. They do seem to like Cleveland so another one there would be good also.
They haven't played Toledo in 9 years (2004 VFC). I'm obviously in high favor of that one!

If the above conflicts with other events or weather, we also have a very nice and fairly new 8K-10K seat arena too.

I hope so but doubt it. They tend to stick to the coasts these days. I highly they would play Alpine in September considering their last show they played their later in the year was the coldest ever. They have never played at an indoor venue in Milwaukee so I am hoping for a Bradley Center show.Forced to endure, what I cannot forgive.0 -

I like it!
Too bad it won't happen that way...
"Then the Spirit of God hovered over the water, and God said, Let there be music, and there was Pearl Jam."
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?0 -
I doubt it. Chicago will be the midwest but the east coast will get 20 shows.
The great irony is that PJ can't sell out places they haven't been to seven years because they haven't played there in seven years.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Doubtful about Alpine because of Wrigley. Plus with the expansion of Charter One in Chicago, what are the odds Alpine will be around much longer?0

If Live Nation could flip that land to the surrounding farmers or the AV resort I bet they would. No sense in owning a venue that hosts 6 shows a year max!0 -

Charter one holds like 30k now right? I liked it small but lets see how the new setup is..location is prime."Going where the water tastes like wine!"0 -

PJ already turned down Summerfest in Milwaukee because it was too close to the Wrigley show so there is no way they are playing Alpine, especially in fall. Minneapolis maybe but thats only if they hit some other midwest cities which I doubt. It will almost certainly be on the coasts, which is bullshit.Forced to endure, what I cannot forgive.0 -
As long as DMB, Phish, and Jimmy Buffett are around it will stay open. If it weren't for them it definately would be closed by now. Unfortunately I think its days are numbered. Wish PJ toured every summer like they do!!!UmphreysJam34 wrote:Doubtful about Alpine because of Wrigley. Although thousands more will be able to attend concerts at the venue, there will be no additional parking built, Park District officials said Thursday. Concertgoers will be encouraged to bike, take public transit or park at Soldier Field and take a shuttle to Northerly Island.
sounds like a shit time to me. Taking a shuttle to an island with one road in and out. Cannot possibly compare to Alpine. Long live Alpine!Forced to endure, what I cannot forgive.0
