Title says it all...

Now that the Eddie & Glen tours seem to be over for a while (or forever? see Clearwater 2 fanview comments), I feel it's time to post this. I finally got to see a Vedder solo concert this year and, being a fan of Once, Swell Season, the Frames etc, I couldn't believe how good Glen & Eddie's voices sounded together. It was like they were born to sing together. The songs they played together sounded so good, at times it was difficult to distinguish between the two voices... is that Ed singing the high harmony, or is it Glen? They just sounded so good singing on the same songs. Think of how good an entire album would be. We need a studio version of This Land Is Your Land and Falling Slowly, throw in a few originals, some by Ed, some by Glen, and a few more choice covers, and there you go.

Make this the official petition page to get these two awesome singers to record an entire album someday. It doesn't have to be in 2013, or even 2014... we all know much of the material on Ukulele Songs was in progress for a decade or more. The Glen & Ed album could be done a little bit at a time, over the next few years/tours during breaks between both of their touring and recording schedules. You know they are going to hang out once in a while even after these tours are over.

Let's make it happen, guys!

I couldn't agree more. The two have an undeniably magical chemistry.

First, props to whomever it was (Ed and company I presume) who decided to have Glen open for Ed on the tour. A perect match. What an amazing experience it was to see them together... Long Nights, Society, This Land Is Your Land, Sleepless Nights, Falling Slowly, Etc.

I, for one, would be into joint venture 1000%.

Fuck that. How bout Ed records a new record with his band, formerly Mookie Blaylock. I'm just saying its nice that they all have side projects and solo records but how about some new Pearl Jam. Focus on the greatest band of all time.
I'm not knocking Glen Hansard at all.

If, however, they're ways part forever... I'll always appreciate the work of Gen Hansard.

First, I want another PJ record as much as (or more than) the rest of us...

But what went down during this solo tour was unreal. I was at Vegas 2 ad Tulsa, and I count them amoung my best days ever.

Try to find a boot... you'll get it.

Much love to you, I hope we get a new album and a big ass PJ tour next year... but the Ed/Glen pairing was unforgettable.

Yeah they are both excellent artists but a petition to get them to make a record together. That's hilarious.

I would LOVE to have to have a version of them singing falling slowly. I'd be super satisfied with a bootleg. It gave me chills when I heard it in Vegas. That's what I want for Christmas!

You can tell who got to see the best Ed solo tour so far to date and who didn't  , and Glen plays a part in making the shows as incredible as they were. With that being said, I saw them together at the Beacon in 2010 (and at Massey Hall in 08 w/Liam) and those shows paled in comparison to what I witnessed in Jacksonville. Ed continues to get more comfortable doing his solo thing, and the collaborations with Glen were nothing short of awe-inspiring.

In my mind, there is no doubt that at this point in his career, Ed doing his solo thing with Glen plays to his strengths - his voice sounds incredible in that setting. What he is asked to do with his voice with PJ's catalog strains his voice and it's noticeable on many songs. It's not a big deal, but I don't know how anyone could argue this point.

So yes, I'll definitely sign this petition - it's not as though it would be a massive project and take away from PJ. All members need to be around anyway and last time I checked, Stone is going to be in Europe for awhile.

in any order, then there are still quite a few that I couldn't place behind PJ and keep a clear conscience....The Who, Queen, Hendrix, Sabbath just to name a few.

EXACTLY! They sound great together and somehow one of them singing with the other actually enhances both of their voices even more than by themselves. The sum of the whole is greater than its parts, is that the saying??
