Actual word on the PJ20 3-Disc Re-Release Via Cameron Crowe

Never one to stop picking away at this issue, today I asked Cameron Crowe on Twitter about this:

For those who don't want to click the link, I asked if the 3-disc edition was ever going to get re-issued and he replied with:

"I heard word is coming soon..."

So hey, that's something. Maybe they can call it "sorry for making something limited that should have never been limited in the first place edition. Also, sorry for rudely ignoring everyone's questions about it...edition."

    Maybe they should release a 3 disc set with the third being blank and call it, 'you can't always get what you want' special edition?

    I'm pretty sure if you wanted it and didn't want to 'pay' for it, there are ways of getting it.

    If someone can justify spending hundreds of dollars on a dvd set in the first place I don't feel sorry for them if its rereleased. It was overpriced to begin with.

    Thanks for asking him the question! My fingers have been crossed for six months or so and I'm keeping them crossed! I will never buy this on eBay, so a rerelease is my only hope.

    They wouldn't release the limited edition version I shouldn't think. I bet they'd probably go bare bones with it - more cheaply packaged, maybe even put it on 2 discs instead of 3. I can't imagine it would be the actual same product as the one people already bought (but who knows). And yeah, I couldn't care less if people get mad about that... they were dumb to pay those inflated prices in the first place. I COULD have done the same, but I knew how stupid it was, and chose not to.

    The people petitioning for the re-release are fans who don't want to use illegal means to get it; they want to acquire it honestly through 10C (there was a conversation about this some time ago). :)

    Aside from awesome concert footage Disk 3 imo is the best one.
