    Clearwater info thread is up and running. Still working on the location. I'll be calling the Brew Garden today to see what they say. Anyone with insight please share. I'm about 40 min's south in Bradenton, so CW isn't really my hood. Been to plenty of shows at REH tho and this is going to be great!

    I'm from Sarasota/Bradenton, too. There's really not much near Ruth Eckerd Hall -- at least there wasn't the last time I was down there. Maybe they irresponsibly built it up like they did the rest of Florida, though. I barely even recognize my hometown anymore. :(

    But I digress.

    If you could get funding for a bus or some designated driver volunteers, there are some nice spots on the other end of Clearwater, and that strip containing St. Pete Beach/Madeira Beach/Redington Beach/Treasure Island is always a good time -- John's Pass, in particular, is a blast.

    Honestly, I'd like to keep everything close to the venue. There are a couple places within walking distance that we are checking on. I went to a preparty in 2006 that wasn't within a couple of miles within the venue and it was a pain in the ass. Thanks for the input...keep it coming!

    Super close to the venue! Nice job.

    The Ruth Eckerd website lists the following hotel with special pricing. It is $110 a night Thursday and Friday. Probably not the cheapest around but it is only about a mile or so away.

    I don't remember the names off hand.

    I'll probably be back in Clearwater sometime this weekend though so...I'll check. I've seen that there are a few big ones on Bayshore blvd but maybe there are some closer ones I don't know of?

    If people are flying into Tampa, there are several big hotels on the Tampa side of the causeway that are on the water. My sister usually stays in the big Hyatt but there's also a Westin and a DoubleTree hotel on the water on the Tampa side as well. Staying on the water is fifteen minutes of driving away from REH but it's prettier. More vacation-like (because of the view) than the hotels on Bayshore Blvd.

    Thanks. Are you coming to the the preparty? My group will probably just look for something really close for a place to crash and drive home in the morning. I'm only about 40 min's away. It should be a good time!
