Canadian SDX DUTY/VAT overpayment issue

Hi,
Long story short, you will be issued a refund check by DHL for overpayment of DUTY/VAT for your Vs and Vitalogy Super Deluxe Box Set.

This charge was NOT a broker fee or shipping COD.

We sent an electronic file to DHL Global Mail with the value of the SDX box set of $150.00 USD. Apparently, due to a software glitch, the value of the box set was set to $300.00....so the DUTY/VAT tax payment was approximately double what should have been paid...We've just been notified in the last 30 min, so we don't have all the details yet, but we wanted to let you know that this issue is being dealt with now.

DHL Global Mail has been great to work with, and their attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

We are very sorry for this inconvenience, and hope you are enjoying your Vs and Vitalogy Super Deluxe Box Set. Any questions should be directed to shipping@tenclub.net

Thanks, Santos! As someone being charged $46.25, I was about ready to inquire regarding possible returns.

Thanks Santos/10C...your attention to this issue is greatly appreciated.

Do we know if this is only applicable to the people that paid $46 in charges?

Basically, we should have paid $7.50 + whatever tax we should have paid in our local province for an approximately $145CDN purchase. This is what it should have been if you paid more, you should get this refund, otherwise, I doubt it.

Ok so for Ontario at least it sounds like those of us who paid $26 and change paid the right amount...anyone who paid more should get the difference refunded.

Of course, I might be wrong and everyone is being refunded, but this is the way it probably should be.

Hard to say. I think I remember paying about $15 for the Ten boxed set, so it could very well be the $26 is double. I guess we'll see.
