Dix BBQ & Brewery is Vancouver's home of craft beer culture. Along with the great beers which are brewed on the premises, Dix hosts numerous special beer tasting nights like Beerapalooza and monthly Cask nights.

Dix has the perfect menu to compliment all this fantastic beer with slow cooked Southern backyard barbecue favourites like wings, brisket and the legendary Afficionado Sandwich.

Located on Beatty Street, across from BC Place and steps from GM Place, Dix is a game day hotspot. Its seating capacity is 85 people in the restaurant and 65 people on the pub side...where peanuts in the shell are always free and we don't mind if you throw the shells on the floor.

DIX is VERY VERY close to GM Place!!! 5-7 Minute Walk.

I've never stayed here, but it looks fine, I would assume it is pretty basic. If you require the finer things in life stay elsewhere, but coming in for the show, crashing and driving home, this would be great. VERY Close to the venue too.

I can most likely help out since i'm done school early on Friday morning, and can take the b-line downtown and be there in the afternoon for set up etc.

Also, I have a washed (but never worn) 2007 european tour shirt for donation... as long as no one minds it being washed already its good to go!

I have a couple of CDs that can go to the raffle or whatever it is...unless they want them in Seattle...They were actually meant to be donations for the EV preparty...but Yuikio (?) gave them to me because she forgot to bring them to the preparty....so rather than keep them myself, I'll donate 'em...

I suggested a save the salmon type group for a beneficiary (on facebook), just cuz Stone's into salmon protection and conservation and right now, for some reason, there's no sockeyes returning in BC this year...just a thought...

I shant be attending the Vancouver show or the preparty and I know I'm going to miss something special before during and after the show, but I'm happy that many of my friends are going to have a BLAST!!

brad has an idea for a beneficiary too. i want it to be nature conservation or animal based for sure.

I soooo wish I could come to this show too, but my hubby's making me be fiscally responsible :x :x :x (stupid student loan :x :x :x )

He figures the two shows in SEA and a Mariners/Yankee game should be enough :roll:

If anyone wants to hook me up with their 10c spare (FV) and a place to sleep, I could run-away for a couple of days :?

I will do my best as me and my friend land early that afternoon and we are staying blocks away from the GM Place. Wanted to be clsoe enough to walk.

Where is this place relative to GM Place. Give me some directiosn and you can count me and my best friend in as we were just discussing where we should go for pre-show drinks.

Is there going to be a post party as well at the same location?

the downtown core of vancouver is actually pretty small... nearly everything is in walkable distance, and if not there is the skytrain which will take you straight to GM Place since there is a stop right there. In fact I usually walk up a few train stops to beat the after-show crowds at Stadium station...

regardless, Sharks is really close!

Shark Club doesn't sound very receptive. I placed a call at DIX BBQ. I've been there before and its great, spacious and peanuts. They sounded into it, the GM is getting back to me.
