***Official Proclamation For The Ed Uke Album***

A Proclamation Requesting The Release of the Eddie Vedder Uke Album

WHEREAS, Eddie Vedder is an American artist and songwriter born in Evanston, Illinois on December 23, 1964; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Vedder became the lead singer for American rock and roll band Pearl Jam in 1990; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Vedder became the spokesman for a generation as part of the "Grunge" music scene in the 1990's as the lead singer of Pearl Jam; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Vedder has used his celebrity to bring attention to valuable causes such as: Planned Parenthood, the Surfrider Foundation, Rock The Vote, Chron's and Colitis Foundation of America, Moveon.org, Amnesty International; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Vedder is a Golden Globe winner for his contribution of the song "Guaranteed" to the Into The Wild Soundtrack; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Vedder has taken part in many solo performances over his career to show his talents on instruments including acoustic guitar, sitar, electric guitar, banjo, piano, and ukulele; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Vedder has performed multiple legs of his tour in support of his Into The Wild album

WHEREAS, Mr. Vedder has performed many ukulele songs on his solo tour that were first performed at "Concert For Artists' Rights" and "All Tomorrow's Parties"; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Vedder performed solo ukulele songs titled: "Longing To Belong", "Can't Keep", "You're True", "Satellite", "Goodbye", and "Brokenhearted"; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Vedder acknowledged in a August 2009 interview that he had recorded a full albums worth of songs written on the ukulele which is yet to be released; and

THEREFORE, we the undersigned are hearby signing in support of the release of this album to benefit a charity of Mr. Vedder's choosing.
