Come on..... they do this every time... they drip out announcements of the shows. More will come. I'm not falling for that yet again. There will be a show in NY.

I don't remember before.... didn't they announce a handful of dates, then fill them in with other dates in other cities?
I think Philly will be it before Aussie.... but then at some point after Aussie, back to northeast.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

As it stands now, I'm skipping Philly. Not sure either the dollars or the time off from work will happen for me in late October. That could always change of course...___________________________________________

I always travel for Philly (I'm in Miami) but this year unfortunately Im skipping them because Im already going to Chicago and Austin City Limits, i can't justify spending another $400-$600 going to Philly for just one night since I wouldn't be able to make it for both shows.
Im cool though I'm glad they are touring even its its just 4 cities in the Fall and I'm happy I'm seeing them twice this year

I'm hoping for a show in Ohio somewhere. I'm unemployed, so can't afford to travel that far for the show. I'm there in a heartbeat if it's somewhere in Ohio. I'm hoping, since they did come during the 2006 tour, and then I saw them last year at Bonnaroo. Here's hoping to make this show number 3.0

Ha! I am definitely not pulling any legs here or trying to derail. I am not going to go and not trying to convince anyone. I just remember all the complaining last time. Folks get tickets and plan to travel to the first shows released and then they get mad when more shows are announced closer to where they live because they dont understand why all the shows weren't announced together. I'm just pointing out that this has happened several times last tour. They have a new album coming out... You really think NYC and Boston aren't going to get shows? Time will tell. At any rate I will gamble and wait. i think i have good odds.0 -
Being "hometown" shows for me I won't miss them for anything. I'm hoping it will be as smooth as Chicago was to get fanclub tix. I do see the op's point though, some people are upset with the early Chicago announcement and now wish they wouldn't have jumped the gun. But that is the chance you take with PJ these days. I'm heading to Chi-town, first time for me outside of the airport, so it will be a nice trip with some PJ shows, no complaints here.If there were no Angels would there be no sin?0

I believe you; I'm actually willing to gamble a bit too. Even though Philly is only a little over an hour from where I'm at, I'm still holding out for another DC show. Call me crazy, I just find it hard to believe that there's only 9 tour dates plus a few festival dates to support a new studio album. However, I say this now...I may very well break down and buy Philly tickets on Monday. Time will tell I suppose.0 -
I'm considering Philly, but leaning towards "no." I just think it's going to be ridiculous with everyone from Boston and NY trying for tix as well. plus there are giant gaps in the tour so places that I want to see may get added, like Denver. I had a week of vacation saved for this tour, but the schedule is not very convenient, so I am considering spending it on NIN instead.
for now, I'm happy with the 2 Chicago shows.Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)

It's too much hassle and added travel expense for this single mom with a son in junior high at this time. I feel bad cause he was so excited at the prospect of seeing them again but gets our last name isn't Rockefeller. I hope a closer show pops up. Enjoy those of you that can make it happen.======================================================================

I do think there will be more. If not during Fall, then def next yr. Agree they wouldn't skip markets like NY, Boston, etc which are always huge for them. Not just sayin' this so I have a better chance @ tix but it will help too. Can understand how frustrating it is to get tix (& make travel arrangements) thinkin' it's you're only chance & then hearing of more shows closer to home. As for me, hometown & even tho Spectrum is a dive-it's a sentmental thing for me too!'98-Camden 8/29

No way we're skipping. I'm from central MA, but even when they DO play closer shows, we also end up travelling to the farther ones (gone as far as the Philly area for 4 PJ/EV tours thus far). As long they're in the northeast it's not too far for a roadtrip in our eyes. Plus I have the vaca time, so woohoo!
