It does work quite well, boy that show grew on me quick. Both Berlins are stunning bootlegs.

Long Road into Why Go at Berlin 1 isnt too shabby of a start either! 8-)

I'm always partial to Release --> Corduroy or Release --> Go

I've had Go -> Animal twice (and Animal -> Go once) and the place went nuts both times but I prefer the slow song -> fast song openers. I think my favourite combination from the shows I've been too is either Release -> Animal or Hard To Imagine -> Save You

    Animal -> Go

In Costa Rica (2011), I was scared when GO>Animal went down. Place went absolutely ape shit. But it was pretty cool.

    1. Long Road
    2. Animal

    is comfortably my favorite.
I'd love to hear Long Road as an opener. I've got a couple of '96 bootlegs that have Long Road -> Hail Hail and Long -> Last Exit... I'd happily take either of those! :)

I did get Long Road to open an EV show (Sydney night 2) but I'd love to hear it with the full band one day...

I prefer the quiet to loud opener, my favourites being -

    Long road - Last exit
    Release - corduroy
    Sometimes - worldwide suicide
    Can't keep - brain of j

But the last time I saw them they opened up with go and it was great, go to animal to hail hail it set up the gig.

    So far I've seen:

    Long Road > Once
    Sometimes > Do The Evolution
Given To Fly > Why Go
    Long Road > Got Some
    Release > Do The Evolution
    Go > Animal

I think Sometimes > Do The Evolution in Belfast is my favourite.

There was a show in 2000, Columbus maybe that started with Whipping > Breakerfall which I loved.

I would love Sometimes > Breakerfall or Release > Last Exit... :)
Like a book among the many on a shelf...

I've never seen that many people completely lose their shit like that. Before the band came on, the anticipation was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Then when they hit Go-->Animal, it was totally primal insanity.
