your best bet is to get a nice tailgate going for as long as possible before going in, or find out if anyone is willing to let you in on theirs and give them some cash for their efforts
the worst thing you could do for this weekend is get in at 12 noon and spend a ton of money on concessions (i know for GA some people will have no choice but to do this, which is why i went for reserved seats both days)
if you have to go in early buy those soft coolers and stock them with sanwiches and water0 -

according to that, you can bring a small, soft sided cooler of food. And a water bottle (empty or factory sealed), up to one gallon.
I think that is what I will do, get some food at a sandwich shop, eat in the parkign lot before going in and also bring in something. I am cheap that way.
There will be grills going all over that parking lot....
I tell ya what...
Ill cook ya a nice buger, dog, brat...whatever ya want....
Hell...
I may even let ya steal a beer or 2....
hehehehe
Let me know where you park at

Well, to be honest other than it being Miller or Bud, that's not terrible if you're from the Northeast. I think it's like $8.50 for a bottle of domestic at Yankee Stadium. So, that'd be $17 for your 24 ozer. To those of us in the Northeast, none of that sounds all that bad (again, other than the fact that it's Bud or Miller). Oh, and popcorn is like $7 at the movies..... I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I'm saving money by coming out there! So, if I have 126.3 beers and 27.4 boxes of popcorn, my room, car and flight will pay for itself!
And I think in the mid-West they don't expect us obnoxious N'easterners to tip, so there's another buck or 2 a beer.
All that being said, tailgate and what you said is the way to go....
Not to fit the N'easter profile, but do they sell anything other than Bud or Miller? I thought I saw full bar somewhere maybe in the Expo or something. Is that the only place they have other options? Thanks.Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0 -
Because I'd also like to know, I just posted this question on their facebook wall.EdsonNascimento wrote:

I'm a mid-souther/mid-westener and I sure hope they sell something other than Bud or Miller!! Can't swallow that stuff, although Hubbie will be happy. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals. Ghandi0 -

I'm pretty sure they've had Leinenkugel's available at Alpine in the past. I don't know that I would count on anything beyond that. Maybe Point Brewery could be there now or Sprecher. I haven't been up there in a few years. If they had any of those, you're probably looking at $8 or $9 for a 12 ouncer though. I would enjoy the varietal brews from the greater Wisconsin area at the tailgates and then settle for domestics inside the venue. I just hope that some nice folks from Minnesota bring some extra Surly Brewing Co. beers along with them to trade. Such a great brewery, yet you can't get it outside of MN.Oct 00 - East Troy aka The Ice Bowl

Agreed. I'm in Cincinnati not the NE but beers are like 6 or 7 bucks a piece at our sporting events and concerts here, so this doesn't really sound anymore expensive. Not saying that those prices are good by any means but I wouldn't expect them to be any cheaper.* Cincinnati, OH 8.20.2000 *
