Soundgarden have announced a european tour for september. Dates as follows.

September 4 Finland, Helsinki Hartwall Arena
September 6 Sweden, Stockholm Hovet
September 7 Norway, Oslo Spektrum
September 9 Denmark, Copenhagen Forum
September 10 Germany, Berlin Columbiahalle
September 11 Holland, Amsterdam Heineken Music Hall
September 13 UK, Manchester Apollo
September 14 UK, Birmingham Academy
September 16 Ireland, Dublin 02
September 18 UK, London Brixton Academy

    that is good for European Soundgarden fans, not such good news for American Pearl Jam fans who had been hoping for a decent size tour, maybe Pearl Jam can do some more dates in October/November, but as a Soundgarden fan as well, hopefully there will be some way to catch some audio or video of some of the shows

    Happy for the EU folks. That said, this pretty much confirms that the US "Tour" is going to be something closer to just a show in 8 cities or so vs. a "tour".

    At least Soundgarden knows how do a full on tour and cover all regions- Looking forward to the Texas run this weekend.

    GIven that we already know the New Orleans gig in November is the last date of the tour, there was no way Pearl Jam would be touring in September this year. At most they will do a 3 week stint which means the tour will start in the 2nd or 3rd week of October.

    Quite disappointing news. I highly doubt it but does anyone think PJ might add additional US date BEFORE Soundgarden heads to Europe as they are already playing London and Chicago. Again I think it's highly unlikely, but just a thought.

    I'm glad that parts of Europe get to see Soundgarden again and I'm pleased at the UK dates. Not sure if I'll make any, but they were ace in London last time.

    Great news about the Soundgarden tour, will try to get to one of these. As for PJ at a guess going by the current trend the fall tour will be as short as you'd come to expect these days. Perhaps a visit to Australia/NZ in Feb 14 followed by the US again April - May and Europe in the summer at festival time? Similar to the 2009 - 10 tours.
    Like a book among the many on a shelf...

    I'm very surprised that alot of people were expecting the Fall tour to be anything more than the current quota of dates for a Pearl Jam tour. Especially since it is a well known fact that they don't want to be on the road for more than 3 weeks at a time.

    I'm actually kind of glad to see this. I've got a few other shows I wanna see during these dates, plus it's just more time to save up some money.

    I'm not surprised at all, 12-15 shows is all I ever thought this fall would be. I think a lot of people were more hoping for more shows rather than expecting it with the lack of touring in the US over the last few years. It just would have been nice for US fans to get some shows, especially in areas of the country that have not really had any shows in a long time. Hopefully 2014 will see the US get the majority of the shows played. Maybe some down under this winter as well.

    But this is great for fans of Soundgarden in Europe. They have been killing on these last two tours.

    Soundgarden's Facebook page and Twitter has them but the Berlin date isn't listed so no idea where that has come from.

    www.mcd.ie the Irish promoter had them listed this morning.
