Food while on tour......

For people traveling to see Pearl Jam later this year, maybe some locals to each city can add their favorite places to get good food. While plenty of people are living on peanut butter sandwiches and water until show time, Im sure come fall, they would like to check out some places to grub while in a new city.

This one is my fave. Everyone goes to L.A talking about In n Out which i think is over rated! For something different, try Tommys double chili burger and chili cheese fries! The Beverly/Rampart location is the original and the best one!

There are LOTS of places to get GREAT mexican food in both SD and L.A but........this place is close to the hotels near the harbor where a few people are staying. Close to the Grand Hyatt hotel too! Always tasty food and nicely portioned!

All the pizza places you already know about (Juliana's, Grimaldi's, Di Fara, Lucali, Spumoni Gardens, etc.) plus:

Henry Public: for the turkey leg sandwich -- it's one of the best damn sandwiches I've ever had.
Buttermilk Channel: for Doug's pecan pie sundae -- also, their duck meatloaf is insane.
Bar Tabac: a great neighborhood bistro with great bistro staples (steak frites, duck confit, coq au vin, moules frites, etc.).
Brucie: menu changes every day depending on what's fresh at the market, making for a very special and memorable meal.
Char No. 4, good fatty food and all the bourbon a person could dream of -- the pancakes for brunch are dynamite.
two8two burger, their sauce is the closest thing you'll get to In-N-Out, and their burgers are sized so that you don't feel like taking a nap after eating one.
Red Rose, a classic red-sauce joint.
The Good Fork, one of the best meals I've ever had was here -- worth the trip on the B61, and Red Hook could use your business.
Defonte's, also worth the trip on the B61 -- if you need a boozemop on Saturday, the potato & egg will right the ship (closed Sunday).
Le Gamin, another good neighborhood bistro that's a little closer to Barclays.

Dicks Hamburgers...Best FAST food in town...and institution since the 50's...Cheap and good $

The Onion...Kind of like a bar and grill with a way more extensive menu and really good food. $$

Fast Eddies....More of a pub, but with REALLY good food and a fairly decent menu...$$

Red Lion BBQ...and Chicken and Mo...bbq at its finest...I am a biiger fan of the CaM...$$

Ye Old Spaghetti Station...Speaks for itself...$$

The Steam Plant....Not sure how to catagorize this one...Decent food...a little pricy...Great drinks from what I am told...$$$

Raw....Sushi....YUK! $$

Spencers for Steaks and Chops...Higher end. If you are looking for a really good steak and have some extra dough, then check them out. (at the Double Tree Hotel) $$$$

Wild Sage and Sante'...These two are for the "foodies" in the group...a little more of an eclectic menu with thing with a bit more imagination...$$$

Franks Diner....Look for the Rail Road car off the Maple Street freeway exit...Some of the best breakfast in town. $

O'Dhoertys....Old style fish and chips and food with an Irish flavor....$$

Rocky Rocco's....David's and Beneditos...Pizza....The latter 2 of the 3 I would favor. $$

Reading Terminal Market: if traveling to philly... and if you like food... the reading terminal market is one of the great foodie spots in the country and is definitely a must stop if you have the time... the weekends it gets insane packed but since these shows are on weekdays this is a great opportunity for you to check it out... they have everything you could imagaine, plus more...

frankly any roast pork sandwich in the city is the better chpice then the iconic cheesesteak in my opinion, and dinics at the market is right on top of the list...
