Awesome. P.O.S. is a great hip-hop artist out of my city of Minneapolis-any hip-hop fans out there ought to check out his new record "Never Better"-definitely one of the best records of the year. Here's a link to a much better quality video of the performance-and we're working on an mp3-should be up later.
wow...not half bad...i remember seeing a myspace music page with some kid do a techno version of WMA...i don't have a link...sorry...it was actually very good...i actually dig it when PJ songs are covered in different genre's (mostly like a techno or hip-hop)...but it is a dangerous game to do so, if it sucks, then the artist loses my respect...
Stef is definitely a fan and like Goodliterature said, his new album 'Never Better' is just outstanding and one of the more original hip hop albums in the last couple years IMO (and quite possibly one of the best hip hop records the Twin Cities has ever produced).
P.O.S. is def infused with his punk background (he has a punk band called 'Building Better Bombs' too btw).
He'll be playing on the Warped Tour this year as well, so definitely make time to catch his set if any of you plan on attending.
Few years ago he covered '30 Gallon Tank' by Spoon with a local band and it was pretty badass .
I usually hate any PJ song sung by anyone else, even if it is sung like the original version. (yep, that includes cover bands) So I was pretty surprised when I saw this. I actually liked it and I thought he did it justice. Not many people can do Ed justice when it comes to vocals and I thought this dude was great. He had the right intensity for what he was doing.
