I received the vaccine about 2 weeks ago. I was originally not going to get it but I work in the health field and my grandmother is ill therefore I didn't want to give it to her. Well I wish I would of stayed with my first instict. For four days after I was so tired I could hardly do anything. I've honestly never been that tired in my entire life. I felt like I got hit by a bus or something. I've also had a headache every single day for the last two weeks and i'm getting pretty sick of it! I spoke with a Doctor I work with and she said that headache's are a side effect especially if you're prone to them. Well if I would of known that I more than likely would of just stayed away from it since I am prone to migraines. I wish I would of never gotten it...
If you have nothing to lose, you have nothing to worry about.

I know a lot of people who've gotten them and have felt like crap for a day or so. Crazy that you are still feeling that way.
I didn't get one.
Now watch me get sick!0 -

Even if you do get sick your immune system will more than likely fight it off anyway! Wish I would of just let mine do the same!If you have nothing to lose, you have nothing to worry about.0 -
I got one and have had no problems. My arm didn't even get sore like it did with the seasonal flu shot. And I'm prone to headaches too but didn't get one.
Sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you feel better soon.0 -
There are two types of H1N1 vaccines you could have gotten, the shot or the nasal spray. The shot is completely synthetic, no virus in it whatsoever. The nasal spray, however, does contain live virus. I have an auto-immune disease and asked my doctor if it would be smart or dumb to get the vaccine. My doctor told me go for the shot, since it has no live virus, there is no way it will make me sick. I had my shot two weeks ago and to date I haven't felt ill.
If you received the nasal spray, however, that would explain perhaps why you are feeling ill.
Hope this helps! If hope can grow from dirt like me ...0 -

Excellent point. I got the shot too.0 -
The day after I received the shot I felt terrible, wicked headache, chills, slight fever. The next day I felt great. I got the shot since I'm a Type 1 diabetic and I think anyone in a high-risk category should get it as well. Just my opinion.Barrie, ON - Aug 22, 1998

I had the shot two weeks ago. The only post-vaccine problems that I have encountered are swelling and heat at the injection site which lasted for about a week and a half. The hubby felt like shit for a day or so after his, but other than that, no problems.
Hope you feel better soon."What the CANUCK happened?!? - Esquimalt Barber Shop0 -

I'm a Type 1 Diabetic too and I don't want any part of that vaccine. My son has a "rebuilt" heart and I don't want him getting the vaccine either. I don't know why but I just don't want to mess with it.The best use of Life is Love.

The way my doctor explained it to me he made it seem like the shot was completely synthetic. Maybe I just didn't understand what he was saying. If hope can grow from dirt like me ...0

Since getting injected I have had this urge to roll around in mud.
I can't explain it, it is totally weird. :shock:Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -
I got a fever and Convulsions about 12 hours after the shot. It lasted for about 3-4 hours, then back to normal0

My husband had the jab about a week ago (our Doctors contacted him as he's in the Emergency Services), he was OK, but had a dead arm for about 24 hours after :roll:2006 - Dublin, Reading; 2007 - London, Copenhagen; 2008 - MSG; 2009 - SBE, Manchester, London; 2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London; 2012 - Manchester, Berlin; 2014 - Amsterdam, Milton Keynes; 2018 - London; 2022 - London; 2024 - Manchester0

I've heard in Canada there are many side effects after the vaccination.
It depends on the type of vaccination - maybe You got that one, which is already withdrawn?
I am sorry for You. And You should go to a doctor if Your symptoms don't passNot 10c member? Have sth to say? write to me - I'll put it on the forum

If you have received a flu vaccination (seasonal or H1N1), please consider completing the survey at http://www.myflushot.org. The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health is doing a study to monitor the safety of this year's flu vaccines. ALL information is helpful!0
