    so the phrase 'thank you' is so foreign to them, they thought you would have to consult a professional to figure out what it means?

    Translation = Please see an associate so they can pitch you 15 different financial products and services that you don't need or want.

    I think they were using paper that they use for all of their signs (probably required for any sign they print and hang) and this one had what is probably a standard disclaimer.

    Still funny to see a caveat like that after a simple "Thank You!".

    Heee! I was just in BoA 3 hours ago. I didn't see a sign like that. It would be amusing to see such a simple phrase translated into legalese.

    The teller was very chatty. He said he'd heard that it might rain today. I said that I wish "they" would make it rain every two weeks to clean the air. Russia and Venezuela have admitted making their own weather, why not Hollywood? The bank teller almost seemed to believe me, asking if such actions affect the planet as a whole.

    When I left, he said, "Thank You!" in person.
    "May you live in interesting times."
