    I don't know why I feel I need to read these events. They make me feel really shitty and they make me feel very angry.

    Cold hearted, ruthless people can suffer in the most unimaginable manner and to be frank... I couldn't care less. I'm tired of hearing of our children hurt through sick and depraved behaviour by mutant adults.

    Watch the bleeding heart, 'enlightened' contingent spin it to draw empathy for this loser: "She was desperate for food and was reduced to stealing the kid's eyes to feed her family."

    I read this story yesterday and to say I couldn't believe what I was reading would be a lie. Strange people are out there. The sad part is because the retina were going to somebody rich most likely, it will all get swept under the carpet with the lady taking the fall for everyone involved.

    Then when I read the title of this thread, I had to smile to myself as I thought of a couple of good jokes (probably to cruel for some soft hearted people) about how the eyes were like rhino horns and such. Or a new dish they have invented to go with tiger testicles.

    I can't imagine anyone empathizing with this person. Why would you even say that?

    I don't know why people feel the need to post shocking and gruesomely negative stories on the debate forum. Is it standard to only debate what's so wrong with some people in this world? Or can we actually debate a topic that doesn't glorify the devience in society? Is the sole purpose of posting these grotesque stories to do nothing more to shock? Cause, I'm not shocked anymore, just disappointed.

I have always believed that one should face reality, however I would surmise that these types of events tend to distort reality and make one pessimistic. At least, they make me pessimistic.

    I'd probably be better off with my head up my ass.

    For better or worse, I've come to advocate heads up and no blinders ;)

    If not an outlet of outrage at the least, some of these stories have given way to discussions valuable to me.

    Even if I'm not going into it with the intention of learning something, anything - I usually do.
