looks like we all have them judging by our avatar's and user name's.
mine is my favorite movies,favorite history to study and a small bit of old family past
as told by older family member's,way too old for me to remember.

    I view the ego as sort of a "foreign transplant" that needs to be quieted. It is the source of all my misery when the internal dialogue is running well. It is almost that time of year to dissolve the ego once again. Oh, am I excited!

    mine is pretty easy. gimmesometruth is a song by john lennon i used to listen to as a kid. i remember stealing that record from my mom and listening to it on my kids record player. i used to love how angry lennon was, and how he used such big adult words like "neurotic, psychotic, pig-headed politicians". i used to try to sing along but could not pronounce the words yet. i did not understand at the time what lennon was on about since i was like 5 or 6 years old, but as a teen i figured it out pretty quickly. i used that as my screen name at just about the time that ed began to cover it. i was pretty happy about my favorite artist covering a song by another of my favorite artists from my childhood. i was five when lennon died and i remember it was the first time in my life that i had ever seen my mom and dad cry. only later did i realize what we lost that day. i was 27 when i started posting here.

    my avatar is just me playing guitar at one of my shows. its from may 2008 i think. if it were bigger you could see my most prized possessions, my 1974 marshall jmp amp and my alpine while gibson les paul custom..

    Well mine is not too difficult either. Mine g under p (Grace Under Pressure) comes from a term I use in life and in the work that I do. Working in the medical field with a life at times in my hands being calm, cool and graceful is best to get the job done and done well. My first live concert for the band RUSH was the
    Grace Under Pressure world tour. I've followed the band since 1979 and missed just one tour since GUP. My daughter, mother and boat has the name Grace, an all in the family thing. :)
