And when the air reminds us it's alive
heaven exists
the humidity is gone, and we're in the air of California
at least, the California of my best memories
that crisp warm air of my dreams
walk outside and remember why we're here!
oh, the generous wind still whispers in the trees
when we visit somewhere quiet
it still makes that soft, flutter-sound
too slight to notate with letters
just a quiet pushing,
a swooooshing sound and a rustling rush
that's when the leaves remind us they've got a voice too
