The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Stir Crazy was the first movie I saw in a movie theater. I remember my mom covering my eyes during the strip club scene.

Oh noooo! I am a fan of his. Ever since Woman in Red. And See No Evil, Hear No Evil. So funny. This is very sad, and that's awful that it was from Alzheimer's, of all things. What a terrible way to go. My friend and I were just talking about him for some reason on Saturday night too. Weird.

Just so happens the director of SNE/HNE and Silver Streak died last week, Arthur Hiller.

I've been looking for a decent clip of the bathroom scene from Silver Streak where Pryor teaches Wilder to pass as black. No luck.

    Comedy gold.

    Classic.

Finally saw that for the first time a year ago on HBO Now. That scene is hilarious.

That may be true. The last time I watched Blazing Saddles though, the humor seemed a lot more mainstream than when the movie came out. But the racial humor probably wouldn't fly nowadays.
