Pearl Jam to Headline Global Citizen Festival

We are excited to announce Pearl Jam will headline the Global Citizen Festival in New York City’s historic Central Park on September 26th. It will be the band’s only U.S. date for all of 2015.

The Global Citizen Festival is an action-rewarded, awareness-driven, free music festival where fans engage with causes in order to win tickets; all causes relate to international education and advocacy to end extreme poverty (living on less than $1.50 USD a day) by 2030.

We hope Pearl Jam fans will sign up to become Global Citizens — not just to earn tickets to the show — but to be part of a movement that encourages leaders of nations with the greatest wealth to apply aid, trade and governance policies in support of nations and communities in the greatest need. People living on less $1.50-a-day deserve the opportunity to lift themselves up out of extreme poverty.

    I wish i didn't have to work either.

    Oh well.... 2015 will be another year without a show. Too bad. Someone else will have to take my money.

    When will the schedule be finalized and published? Beyonce is the bigger star today in music and she will likely close the show. Good for her.. but if that's the case I'm not purchasing a vip package. I'll only see PJ at a festival if they have the last slot (IE) the most time to play.
