Mystery Vinyl on Ebay

We should all get together and let these items go for way less than they usually do. There is a Benny Hall on there now. Wouldn't it be funny/nice if the winning bid was like $50.00? It will never happen, but still...It might take care of the flipping aspect.

Flipping is tough to stop as long as buyers buy at those prices.

People are going to do whatever they want to do. And who's to say whatever gets on the bay is a mystery vinyl? No way to tell...

although i'd bet that the mystery Benaroya Hall vinyl is marked in a similar fashion as the pop up shop versions. in other words, not ####/2000.

I wasn't speaking to the Bennys in particular. Anything that's not numbered/signed, no way to know where it came from.

Like sherlock Holmes before me, the power of deduction tells me that if I sort by "most recently listed" on eBay, that the Benny Halls listed at the top are going to be ones that were mystery vinyl. And "who the hell cares?" The people who could and would never pay $2,000 for it in the first place. Its called bringing the price back down to a level that most fans can afford and not just ones that have 2 grand to burn. Supply and demand suggest a high price, I understand that, but 2 grand? You gotta be kidding me.

Ummmm....correct me if I'm wrong, but it's the "collectors" that pay those prices. THEY dictate the market.

Also, just because something is newly listed, doesn't mean it's coming from the mystery sale. Actually, it would be pretty smart to list PJ vinyl around this time. Guarantee you those "collectors" know that more vinyl will be hitting the market.

Doubt they would like the overheard costs, going through thousands of vinyl and unsealing them. But not a bad idea..

how is it considered flipping when Benaroya came out almost a decade ago?
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

Yeah. I was joking. I don't care about people selling vinyl. Good for them. Don't buy it if you don't want it. Move on.

Anyone paying $2,000 for a Benny is just being stupid. The unfortunate thing is there are stupid people out there, so you will continue to see these $2,000 eBay postings. That's just life.

I don't even care much about the Benny (sorry Lisa!!). Currently coveting Riot Act! I'm gonna have to stop checking these threads soon, I don't think I can bear reading about everyone's scores! :bawling:

I was kind of hoping for a Riot Act vinyl...don't think it can happen with my 1.85 lb. weight though. Was Riot Act issued on one or two LP's?

And it's a material. Not the black disc with grooves that you play on your turntable. That's a "vinyl RECORD". ....If you wanna nitpick. ;)

Yet first thing you do is post on here how you want $350 for the Lost Dogs you got in the mystery sale.
