I'll keep a look out for the documentary too - Canada has really been a guiding light in the area of domestic and family violence, sexual violence and trauma-informed practice.
This might be the least he could have imagined what would happen as he wrote this lyrics !
(~sorry, but you know what I mean....)

Bump for White Ribbon Day November 25th https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/17202-white-ribbon-day-2014
Here’s an update for you from the ‘A Better Man’ team:
Thanks to more than 530 donors, we've surpassed 70% of our goal! Since our last update, Margaret Atwood, Pearl Jam and Sloan have all stepped up to support A Better Man. Other endorsers include Amanda Dale of the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic and Todd Minerson of the White Ribbon Campaign, both tireless leaders in the movement to end violence against women.
Our first week of fundraising was capped off by an outstanding feature that ran on CBC's The National on Sunday. CBC Arts Online also spoke to Attiya about the need to take action in the movement to end violence against women.
You're now a part of this effort, but we would love more to join us. Please continue to share our campaign with your friends and family. Thanks so much for all of your support!

Pearl Jam Activism
A Canadian fan sent us this amazing performance by choir! choir! choir! of their rendition of Pearl Jam's song "Better Man” sung in support of a new documentary being created to help strengthen the movement to end violence against women by focusing on helping abusive men to change. Co-Directed by Attiya Khan and Lawrence Jackman, and Executive Produced by Sarah Polley. Passing it along.

This documentary sounds solid, with the endorsement of a lot of reputable not-for-profit organisations and individuals. Would be a good project to support financially via the link provided above and/or view upon it's release if you can.
Long-winded bump

Today marks an important day in the movement to end violence against women. The United Nations has chosen the colour orange to highlight the next 16 days. We hope you'll answer this call to action and share this message with your friends and family.
So much has happened with the campaign in the last week! We have now raised more than $68,000 of our $75,000 goal with the help of more than 740 donors. White Ribbon - the world's largest movement of men working to end violence against women - surprised us with a $1,000 contribution after Director Attiya Khan and Producer Christine Kleckner presented the trailer at the inspiring What Makes a Man conference. We also announced several endorsements, including that of Oscar-nominated composer/musician Owen Pallett.
In case you missed it...
Attiya shared the story behind A Better Man with The Huffington Post. Have a read: huff.to/1vwFXvw
